We are so blessed in our church to have a beautiful sounding pipe organ. This organ was originally purchased in 1913 by one of our founding families, the Kimball family and was rebuilt in 1955 and most recently again in 2020. The first pipe organ of our church was purchased in1880 and donated to the First Congregational Church in Claridon, Ohio.
Along the way we have had many wonderful organists. Currently Paulette Szuhay is playing for us each Sunday and prior to her, BJ Green was our organist for about 35 years. This organ is such animportant part of our Sunday services. Hopefully when we listen to this music we will think about the long history the pipe organ has had in our church and the role it plays in our worship service each week.
In addition to our pipe organ which provides wonderful music within the walls of our church we also have an electronic carillon that plays hymns, chimes, and programmable music that is distributed outside the church. Currently the carillon plays music at 9:00 AM, 12 noon, and 6:00 PM each day. These songs are either programmed or randomly played from a library of about 1000 songs. The existing carillon was purchased in September 2015 and is a replacement to a system that had been in use for many years prior. When you are outside the church please stop and listen to the beautiful music.
